We’ve created a streamlined, straightforward system that leads you through all the steps involved in opening an account with Sage Advisors. We want to make sure that we’re able to set up your accounts as soon as possible, so we can show you our process in action. And that means keeping things simple, but not simplistic.
After verbally agreeing to engage in a relationship with Sage Advisors, one of our team members will reach out to collect all necessary information needed to open an account. We will also identify how you want certain account features to be set up—for example, whether or not you wish to link a bank account to your investment account. We recommend linking at least one bank account for easier investing or withdrawals.
We will also ask about how you would like us to handle dividends; whether you would like them reinvested or paid as cash into your checking account (if not specified, we will automatically reinvest them). Finally, we will also need to know how you are funding the account—either via transfer from another institution (if so, we will need to know the provider, account number and a recent statement), or via check or bank link.
Once we’ve collected all the information needed to establish your account, we’ll submit your application for processing.
We’ll closely monitor the status of all your forms to make sure that no processing is being held up for any reason. If further information is needed, we’ll reach out to you as needed.
Please keep in mind that this isn’t an instantaneous process—certain transfers and banks can take up to a week to fully process. We will work our hardest to pull assets into the new account as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Once your account is completely set up, we will engage in the investment approach agreed upon prior between you and your advisor. We believe that every investor has different goals and expectations, so our strategy will be tailored to your specific needs and budget.

We work hard to make sure that every step along the way is clear and transparent. We want you to have an idea of what to expect throughout the entire process, so that there are no surprises. That’s why we keep you informed throughout.
Total time, start to finish, this process takes 7-10 business days to complete.
After paperwork is signed, we make sure to keep clients informed while funds are being transferred. We engage in multiple checkpoints to make sure all client questions are tended to, and they have a clear understanding of how long everything will take.
The account is managed by the advisor and is traded at her own discretion, no prior client approval is needed for trades. If invested in our models, we require full discretion. If invested in our non-model portfolios it is up to the client to grant us full discretion. These accounts are charged via wrap fee*.
* A wrap fee is an all-inclusive annual percentage charge for the services of an investment manager or investment advisor. It is deducted quarterly or may be paid separately.
** Commissions will vary depending on the size and share quantity of the sale or purchase. Any commissions will be made clear to the client before any transaction is processed. Commissions are only levied on non-wrap fee, non-managed accounts.
